On October 10th 2013, a revised model was released with a thinner, lighter design that swapped the OLED screen with an LCD. The follow-up to the original Multitap, this peripheral also allowed players to use more than two controllers with their games. Unlike PS1 games, PS2 games never exceeded more than four players. The PS2 Slim models didn’t support the first PS2 Multitap, and had their own model. Trophies are another kind of collectible that are available in every PlayStation 5 game (as well as the PS4, PS3 and PSVita).

This references 2020’s Dreams on PS4, developed by Media Molecule. https://gg88top.com/ is about making assets and even entire games from scratch. On the right-hand side at the start of GPU Jungle is a lower platform of a Bot dancing in an orange head with blue jorts.
Puzzle Piece 4/4 – After crossing the bridge, instead of jumping up towards the end of the level, go down to the left to find this puzzle piece. Puzzle Piece 3/4 – To proceed you are supposed to use the throwable item across the gap towards the next checkpoint. Instead, throw it at both of the moving areas to the right to reveal this puzzle piece. Puzzle Piece 3/4 – After the next checkpoint where you have another large ramp to slide down, this puzzle piece is up to the left across two breakable platforms. Artifact 2/2 “PS Eye Toy Camera” – On the right side of the area, defeat the enemies and jump across the small platforms to the one with the two coins and the wire pull on it, which contains this artifact. Puzzle Piece 3/4 – From the start on the right side of the area, jump to the wooden platform and pull out the three wires to spawn this puzzle piece.

Once you’re on the other side, tug the Wires on the wall to reveal the next sequence with moving blocks. Jump onto the left-hand one, right it up, then Beam Glide to the block on the right. At this spot, look at the wall between the red and green level entrys to find a ramp heading to the basement floor of the Plaza, where many different Bots are hanging out. The Astro franchise is built upon the success of the PlayStation brand and became the de facto mascot. Another display you can unlock for the Labo area is a sign with the Sony Interactive Entertainment logo which, if punched three times, will drop down and reveal the Sony Computer Entertainment logo. This is the old name for Sony Interactive Entertainment, which changed to that name in 2016.
From the opening moments when it teaches you about the adaptive triggers and haptic feedback it never stops impressing all the way until the very end. There was once a time when pack-in bundled games were regarded as the very best games available for that new console. You bought a Super Nintendo to play Super Mario World because it came in the box.
Astro’s Playroom is an extremely well-designed platformer and getting access to it for free feels like a steal. Even as-is I’d wager Sony could easily charge $20 and most people would happily pay that without feeling ripped off at all. Usually rumble tends to fade away and eventually becomes something I stop noticing. In some cases I’ll turn it off entirely so it doesn’t distract me. But in the case of the DualSense, for the first time ever really, I feel like it actually enhances and changes the game for the better.
GPU Jungle is the fourth and final zone in the game, with Artefacts covering the PlayStation 4 era from 2013 to 2019. This zone’s suit is the Monkey Suit, which you control with the Adaptive Triggers and the SIXAXIS. It’s worth noting that you can play through the first four zones in any order you please. Their order in this guide is based on the artefacts, starting with the original PlayStation through to the PlayStation 4. In fact, the only use of the DualSense that seemed superfluous to me was the microphone.
Spyro’s wings notably use the inaccurate anatomy present in the original game; later titles gave it correct bat anatomy. Horizon has a second reference with the “Ready for the Proving” Trophy, awarded for shooting a Spitter’s shot with the bow and arrow in Raytrace Ruins. Um Jammer Lammy gets a second reference in the “It’s All in the Mind” Trophy, awarded for beating three enemies quickly with Punches. This is a reference to Chop Chop Master Onion, who gives Lammy this piece of advice early in the game.
These portions are also pretty forgiving, with generous checkpoints and obstacles that provide just enough resistance to make you pause a moment, but not so much that you get stuck. Plus, it’s hard to get too mad with the game’s infectiously upbeat soundtrack going in the background. A number of special bots were added to Astro’s Playroom in the months leading up to the release of Astro Bot.
Familiarize yourself with these, as you’ll need to remember them shortly. To find the special in Memory Meadow, head to the Gusty Gateway area. If done successfully, the Gran Turismo Special Bot and the “Grand Tourist” trophy will unlock. At the top of the steps, turn around, and come back on yourself so you’re walking across the white beams at the edges.
After the second use of the Hang Glider, on the left you’ll find a massive sword stuck in the ground. This is an unmistakable reference to Final Fantasy VII for the PS1, released in 1997 by Square Enix. In particular, the use of the Buster Sword under a spotlight makes this is a reference to the game’s title screen. The first level of the game opens with Astro barreling down a waterslide before splashing in some water and walking up onto a beach. It’s hard to put into words, but the thunk of landing in the water is a dull, flat sensation that feels, well, like landing in water. Similarly, there’s a grainy effect when you walk across the beach, as if you could feel the sand.
Core Trophies are awarded for completing levels and defeating bosses‚ serving as essential milestones toward smoothly achieving the Platinum Trophy in Astro Playroom. There are five challenging Gold Trophies in Astro Playroom‚ focusing on speedruns and special challenges. These require skill and precision to unlock‚ making them rewarding achievements for dedicated players. It is worth mentioning that if you accidentally die by picking up an earlier piece of the puzzle, its place will be replaced by a transparent piece of the puzzle. Also, all coins and coin containers are renewed after your rebirth or after starting the level anew.
